Our product warranties

At MS Europe, we do more than just equip you: we make a long-term commitment to you. Because an on-board safety or comfort product must remain reliable over time, we have decided to offer warranties on certain ranges that exceed market standards.

🔐 MetaSystem alarms:1st owner lifetime warranty

  • 3-year manufacturer’s warranty
  • MS Europe extension: lifetime warranty for the1st owner on alarms sold from May 1, 2025.

Important: this lifetime warranty only applies if the alarm is installed by an MS Europe-approved installer. This guarantees installation in compliance with technical and safety requirements.

📡 MetaTrak GPS trackers: future-proof connectivity

  • 3-year manufacturer’s warranty
  • MS Europe extension: lifetime1st owner warranty for trackers sold after July 1, 2022

Protection that lasts, as long as you follow good usage practices (see details below).

🎶 Phonocar Multimedia: performance and reliability

  • 2-year manufacturer’s warranty

For all Phonocar audio, video and connected accessory products, the warranty covers manufacturing defects for 24 months.

  • Manufacturing and component defects
  • Malfunctions unrelated to faulty installation or improper use
  • Replacement or repair of defective parts
  • Fast support from our dedicated customer service team

❗ What the warranty does not cover

Some items are not covered by warranty, even under the Lifetime Warranty:

  • Consumables, such as :
    • Internal batteries (sirens, trackers)
    • Fuses, cables or connectors damaged through mishandling
  • Damage caused by :
    • Unauthorized installation
    • Use not in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations
    • Unauthorized product modifications
  • Backup batteries damaged by deep discharge, e.g. :
    • GPS tracker left unpowered without “maintenance” mode activated (see technical manual)
    • A siren that has been disconnected for too long without recharging its internal battery

These situations can cause irreversible damage to the back-up battery, which is not covered by the warranty.

📄 General terms and conditions

  • The “1st owner” lifetime warranty is non-transferable.
  • The date of purchase and proof of installation (if required) must be provided to claim under the warranty.
  • Care and use of the product must comply with the manufacturer’s instructions.
