Warranties & Conditions – Alarms, GPS trackers, and Car Accessories

Our Product Warranties

At MS Europe, we do more than just equip you: we commit to supporting you long-term. Because an embedded security or comfort product must remain reliable over time, we have decided to offer, on certain ranges, warranties superior to market standards.

🔐 MetaSystem Alarms: a lifetime warranty for the 1st owner

  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: 3 years
  • MS Europe Extension: lifetime warranty for the 1st owner on alarms sold from May 1, 2025

Important: this lifetime warranty applies only if the alarm is installed by an MS Europe approved installer. This ensures installation complies with technical and safety requirements.

📡 MetaTrak GPS trackers: connectivity protected over time

  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: 3 years
  • MS Europe Extension: lifetime warranty for the 1st owner for trackers sold since July 1, 2022

A protection that stays with you long-term, provided good usage practices are followed (see details below).

🎶 Phonocar Multimedia: performance and reliability

  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: 2 years

For all Phonocar audio, video, and connected accessories, the warranty covers manufacturing defects for 24 months.

📋 What Our Warranties Cover

  • Manufacturing and component defects
  • Malfunctions not related to improper installation or non-compliant use
  • Replacement or repair of defective parts
  • Fast support via our dedicated customer service

❗ What the warranty does not cover

Certain elements are not covered by the warranty, even under the lifetime warranty:

  • Consumables, such as:
    • Internal batteries or cells (sirens, trackers)
    • Fuses, cables, or connectors damaged due to improper handling
  • Damage due to:
    • Unauthorized installation
    • Non-compliant use with manufacturer’s recommendations
    • Unauthorized modifications to the product
  • Backup batteries damaged by deep discharge, for example:
    • A GPS tracker left without power without activating “maintenance” mode (see technical manual)
    • A siren left disconnected for too long without recharging its internal battery

These situations can cause irreversible degradation of the backup battery, which is not covered by the warranty.

📄 General Terms and Conditions

  • The “1st owner” lifetime warranty is non-transferable.
  • The purchase date and proof of installation (if required) must be provided to claim the warranty.
  • Product maintenance and use must comply with manufacturer’s instructions.
